Help build FrontierSWE

Measuring model improvements becomes increasingly hard, yet it remains crucial for progress. If you want to help improve and expand FrontierSWE, please get in touch! For any questions, please email evan@proximal.ai - if you are interested in working on FrontierSWE through our research fellowship program, please apply via the form below.

Work on FrontierSWE as a Research Fellow

Expanding FrontierSWE is complex and also very expensive due to the compute resources it requires. To support researchers and engineers that want to contribute to FrontierSWE, we invite them to apply to work with us as a research fellow.

As a research fellow, you will work together with the Proximal team for a few weeks up to multiple months. You will be compensated through a stipend and given all the resources needed to meaningfully contribute to the benchmark. Beyond building new tasks, you might be working on infrastructure for running tasks, build tooling such as cheating detection or contribute to releases such as papers or blog posts.

The application process for our fellowship program looks as follows:

  • Apply for the fellowship via the form below
  • If we think you are a good fit, we will ask you to prepare a project proposal and discuss it with us in a call
  • Depending on the scope of the project, we might conduct a short technical interview
